The Rock Spring Civic Association Executive Board wishes you a Very Happy Holiday Season.

1. During their 11/18 meeting, School Superintendent Murphy made the following recommendation to the School Board about middle school seats:

  • Developing a new 1,000 seat middle school at the Stratford location on Vacation Lane

  • Moving the full H-B Woodlawn Program and the Stratford Program to a new 900-seat facility to be developed at the Wilson site.

  • Use the remaining balance of bond funds for additional seats to be added at existing middle schools. That option will be evaluated over the coming year and gives the Board flexibility to provide seats where they are most needed and in the most cost-effective way.

  • The School Board plans to vote on a final plan on December 18. More information can be found online on BoardDocs.
