This newsletter is compiled by the Rock Spring Civic Association for residents of the Rock Spring neighborhood.

 1.  Arlington County Civic Federation:  Tuesday, June 4, 6.30pm, Virginia Hospital Center
The June meeting will highlight cultural affairs in Arlington with a panel discussion moderated by Mary Hynes and provide an update on what the Lee Highway Alliance is doing. There will be a status report on the Arlington County Scholarship Fund for Teachers

2.  Lee Highway Alliance Design Studio:  May 17 and May 31, 12 – 3:30 pm
The Plan Lee Highway Design Studio is open every other Friday, 12 – 3:30 p.m. as a drop-in format.  The studio is an informal opportunity for residents, business owners, community members and other Lee Highway stakeholders to view the latest study materials, meet with project planners, ask questions and share ideas. We hope to see you there!

6.  Bike To Work Day:  Friday, May 17

Keep your car parked, hop on a bike, and celebrate bicycling as a fun, healthy, and sustainable way to get around on Bike to Work Day! Meet up with your neighbors, coworkers, and first timers at one of the 115 regional pit stops to jump start your Friday with some fun.

 Bike to Work Day is a FREE event and open to all area commuters whether you’re new to riding or ride every day. Arlington hosts a bustling 10 pit stops around the County (morning and afternoon) to make it easy for you to join the fun no matter which route you ride. Register at the pit stop most convenient to you and receive the infamous Bike to Work Day t-shirt.

9.  Campfire Evenings:  Queen of the Forest Campfire Saturday, May 25, 7 - 8pm
The whole family is invited to join us at the Gulf Branch fire ring for lots of old-fashioned fun. This engaging program will be filled with entertaining activities which may include stories, special animal guests, games, songs and of course, S’mores! We'll find out where to look for the earliest signs of spring this evening while keeping warm around the fire. $5.  #632859-E
