 1.  Arlington County:  The pre-filled mail ballot applications many voters received from an independent organization this week can be used. While other Virginia localities are reporting errors on their forms, the ones provided to Arlington voters appear correct. Completed forms will be sent to the Arlington County Office of Voter Registration & Elections for processing.

RELATED: Request a Vote by Mail Ballot by Oct. 23

2.  Curbside Bulk Collection:  Regular curbside bulk collection has resumed. For residential customers who may be left with storm-related debris, properly prepare it for pickup on your designated trash collection day.

3.  Missing Middle Study:  The fourth installment of Arlington's five-part series, the Missing Middle Housing Study Research Compendium, was just released.  It deals with zoning and land-use policies.  Each research bulletin can be viewed as a standalone document, or as a chapter in a larger body of knowledge. Bulletins will be published from June through August 2020. The goal is to provide the community with information to explore prior to the Missing Middle Housing Study kick-off.

4.  Reduce Your Risk of Flooding:  Flooding can be a very costly disaster. The risk for flooding can vary within the same neighborhood and even property to property.  Flooding can occur not only in identified high-risk areas, but may also occur in areas that may not have been identified as high risk.  More than 20% of flood claims are from low to moderate flood risk areas.

Here are steps that you can take as a property owner to reduce your risk of flooding:
