A special “Meet Me on a Sunday . . . at Potomac Overlook!”
SUNDAY, AUGUST 16th, 2009
Hang out in the great outdoors
On Sunday, August 16, meet new nature center residents: a hognose snake, a corn snake, a mud turtle, and a box turtle. Stop by the nature center anytime between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. to meet these and other critters up close and “in person.” Also, Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment (ACE) will be on hand with an exhibit featuring recipes and tastings for local food. View and test ride an electric bike! Pedago Bike Company will be present with two demos! And, enjoy refreshments, games and the nature center’s new exhibit called “The Energerium.”
DON’T FORGET! . . . “Meet me on a Sunday” happens every Sunday, 1:30 - 3:30! Almost everyone needs more time in the great outdoors – time to take a walk, enjoy each other’s company, or to just sit and do nothing! So, come make a “natural connection” at Potomac Overlook Regional Park.
Every Sunday afternoon, between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m., the park provides refreshments, games and hands-on nature exhibits, and a fun place to meet and hang out. You take it from there: come alone or with family or friends; go on a walk; visit the nature center; or, just enjoy the day!
This weekly offering is free; some items and refreshments may be on a donation or cost basis. Potomac Overlook Regional Park is located at the end of Marcey Road, off of Military Road, in north Arlington, Virginia. Call 703-528-5406 for directions and other information.
If you could please share this information with the members of the Rock Spring Civic Association, we would much appreciate it!
