In April the Rock Spring Civic Association Executive Board reluctantly accepted the resignation of Judy Guerrero from the Exec. Bd. Judy felt that her frequent and extended travel was becoming inconsistent with continued service on the Board, but she has generously offered to continue providing volunteer support to RSCA when she is in town. All RSCA residents join us in expressing our deep appreciation for the many contributions Judy has made to our neighborhood and to RSCA over the years. In addition to serving on the Ex. Bd., for several years she was editor of RSCA's newsletter, The Rock Springer, and she also actively participated in virtually everything the ExBd has undertaken during her tenure on the Board: attending public meetings, representing the Board, distributing materials to residents, providing valuable input to ExBd. discussions, etc.. We will deeply miss her valuable inputs to the Board's work but continue to cherish her friendship.
Pursuant to the RSCA By-Laws, the Ex. Bd. has elected Lynn Pollock to fill the interim vacancy created by Judy's resignation. Lynn will serve until the next Ex. Bd. elections, which will take place at the RSCA Annual meeting this fall. Lynn has co-chaired RSCA's Neighborhood Conservation Program and contributed to other RSCA endeavors; so she is quite familiar with the Civic Association's activities and thus able to make an immediate contribution to the Ex. Bd.'s work.
