The following meeting announcement from Arlington County concerns a green
streets/rain garden project planned for the RSCA area. Even if you do not live
in the immediate project vicinity but do wish to learn more about green
streets, follow the link to the County's responses to resident questions, which
are quite informative.
Arlington County is designing Green Street rain gardens that
will be installed along North Kensington and 32nd Street North. County staff met
with the residents that are adjacent to the rain garden sites in July 2012 and
have incorporated their feedback and comments into an updated design. We hope
that you will attend our upcoming meeting to learn more about this project's
status.
Meeting materials and the plant palette options that will be
considered for the rain gardens are posted here: www.arlingtonva.us/departments/EnvironmentalServices/Sustainability/page88466.aspx.
