Two census recruitment notices recently received:

1) Help Wanted – Arlington Enumerators - $20 per hour
Every 10 years, a census of our population is conducted.  The results help determine how federal funds are spent in your community on things like roads, parks and other public services, as well as your representation in government.  As a census taker, you will help to make sure that everyone in your community is counted.

A 2010 Census job offers a good pay, flexible hours, paid training, and the chance to work independently in your own community.  For 2010 Census, thousands of census takers are needed for temporary jobs.  The 2010 Census need a number of Arlington census takers.  It’s possible that you would work in your own community and earn $20 per hour.  For more information, including a practice test, contact www.2010censusjobs.gov or call the toll-free jobs line to arrange a test to be eligible for a census job, 1-866-861-2010. Received from Karen Scheer of Arlington Forest, currently a Census Recruiter.

2) We are currently searching for applicants to take the Census Employment Test, donated space in which to hold employment testing sessions, and opportunities to spread the word about the 2010 Census to those who need work.  I have flyers, brochures, business cards, and small advertisements (for publications such as newsletters) that I can provide.  I am also available to talk to groups of people who would like more information about census work.  Please feel free to contact me by email (chriseay@gmail.com) or telephone (571-249-2183) if you can help us in any way.  Thanks again.
